How to Use CBD Balm

Follow these simple steps on how to use CBD balm.

  1. Start with clean hands and a clean wound site to avoid infection.
  2. Gently apply a small amount of your CBD balm. Don’t rub vigorously
  3. Keep the wound covered as much as possible to keep out dirt and bacteria.
  4. Do not expose it to the sun. Either keep your wound covered completely or use a good sunblock.

When using scar creams is to start using them as soon as a scar forms, because it’s easier to treat scars when they are fresh.

Start early on in your healing process to get the best results. Check with your doctor if you required medical attention on the best course of action.

A scar is mature after 2 years so you will have more dramatic results if you act quickly.

When the skin breaks, this causes an inflammatory response. CBD is a powerful anti-inflammatory and may help counteract this response.

Treating your scars is not an overnight process. “A scar generally will show if it will heal well within six months,” says Dr. Allenby, a Florida-based dermatologist.

What are Scars?

A scar signifies the body’s healing process. When the skin is injured, your body creates collagen to help reseal itself and prevent infection. This process results in tissue with a different texture and appearance than the surrounding tissue.

Scars develop for many reasons:

  • Tattoo removal can cause scarring, especially if you don’t follow your aftercare instructions.
  • Surgical scars vary, depending on the nature of the surgery and the location. Although these scars might fade over time, post-surgical care can make a significant difference.
  • Tummy tuck scars can leave a horizontal scar on the lower abdomen following the procedure. This type of scar will fade in the months following surgery. However, it may never disappear entirely.

Any open wound or burn can leave a scar; that is why you must take proper measures in the days, weeks, and months that follow.

Although scars symbolize the physical effects of healing, their psychological implications are far more complex.

Sure, a scar is only skin deep. However, these marks can alter your quality of life.
